General important notes for the installation and maintenance of a mortar spraying machine

Table of Content

To properly use a device, you need to be familiar with its start-up procedure. This is especially important for equipment that is somewhat specialized, where neglecting key setup guidelines can lead to operational problems or even put operators and technicians at risk. A mortar spraying machine is one such device; ignoring certain start-up precautions can cause significant issues in the future. Therefore, it must be commissioned correctly and in compliance with safety considerations to ensure proper performance and to avoid any hazards for personnel.
If you are among those who consider the maintenance of your work equipment and even personal belongings a top priority, then stay with us until the end of this article, as it may help you prevent potential losses that could occur in the future.

Following the points below will help you not only prevent breakdowns but also achieve better performance from the machine.

Essential tips for preventing issues and improving the performance of a mortar spraying machine

  1. The mortar spraying machine should be kept as level as possible at its installation location.
  2. For a 50-meter distance, the appropriate power cable for the mortar spraying machine is 4×4, and for a 100-meter distance, it is 4×6.
  3. The input power of the mortar spraying machine is three-phase 380 volts, and a neutral wire must also be connected. Please note that once the phase control indicator light turns green, the machine is ready for operation.
  4. Do not change the bimetal relay current setting.
  5. The gearbox oil (vaseline-type lubricant) has a viscosity grade of 250–320. Do not use oil with a viscosity lower than 250.
  6. Check the gearbox lubricant weekly. The gearbox should be filled with lubricant up to half its capacity; otherwise, refill to the required level. The lubricant should be replaced every two months.
  7. The compressor must be installed on a level surface at its operating location.
  8. The compressor oil grade is 40, and it must be changed every 100 hours of operation. The oil level should not fall below half of the sight glass.
  9. Each time the compressor oil is changed, also clean the air filter.
  10. In humid areas, drain the water from the compressor tank every two weeks by opening the tank’s drain valve.
  11. In mortar spraying machines equipped with a mixer, lubricate the mixer bearing with grease once a week.

Conclusion

Please note that failure to follow any of these instructions may lead to serious problems in the future. Therefore, we strongly recommend allocating sufficient time to carefully review all of these points. Do not forget that rushing the start-up process of the machine may result in irreversible financial and physical damage. Accordingly, make sure to document these instructions as a checklist and verify that each item has been properly and fully observed.
